Sr. Engineer, Software Engineering (Senior BRMS Specialist) Job Overview We have an exciting and challenging full time opportunity for a BRMS (Business Rules Management System) Senior Software Engineer to work with our clients to define, automate and implement ILOG as an enterprise BRMS tool. This position is responsible for design, engineering, implementation and support functions of ILOG to solve complex and challenging issues for our key services such as Risk Systems, Payment Systems and CRM systems. This role will work closely with department leadership, integration services team, data services team and application development teams across MasterCard to assist in automation, development, simulation and implementation of complex rules decisioning systems. Responsibilities Lead day to day system development and maintenance activities for the BRMS team. Translating business rules requirements into technical designs and rule based solutions. Implementation and support of defined rule based solutions across multiple environments, including monitoring of system’s health/key metrics, simulation and portal systems. Assist in defining architecture for BRMS solution at enterprise level, with focus on design and engineering. Assist in defining standards and processes to support business rules and the enterprise BRMS system. Assist in developing governance framework. Participate in enterprise wide architecture initiatives, ensuring alignment with, and contributing to, the Enterprise Architecture. Provide subject matter expertise in BRMS context in support of our initiatives in liaison with technology and business partners, and external vendors and agencies. Knowledge/Experience Minimum of 3 years experience in designing and implementing BRMS system, with familiarity in XOM and BOM models. ILOG BRMS a plus. Minimum of 2 years experience in designing BRMS solutions, ILOG BRMS a plus. Minimum of 3 years experience in application development space with strong understanding of object oriented programming. Knowledge in performing BRMS application assessment and ability to analyze and abstract business rules from business environment, ILOG BRMS a plus. Ability in defining base level data from inferred rules. Clear understanding of opportunities in enterprise rules services development. Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal, written and communications skills. Strong engineering and implementation skills. Ability to work across organizational boundaries and organizational levels and influence business, operations and technology partners. Education · Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field).
